Man, 20, Dies In Nassau Crash Early Sunday: Police

The crash took place at about 3:09 a.m. on Merrick Road, police say.

MASSAPEsQUA, NY — A 20-year-old man died in a Massapequa crash early Sunday, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the crash took place at 3:09 a.m. when the 20-year-old, who was operating a 2019 BMW on Merrick Road, lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree in the vicinity of Cedar Shore Drive.

The man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he was pronounced by a hospital physician, police said.
