46-Year-Old Dies In Sunrise Highway Crash: Police

LYNBROOK, NY. — A 46-year-old woman died after being struck by a Hyundai while crossing Sunrise Highway Sunday evening, police said.

Nassau County police reported that the woman was crossing the street at its intersection with Horton Avenue when the Hyundai, being driven by an 18-year-old man, struck her. The woman was pronounced dead after arriving at a hospital, while the man remained at the scene, police said.

Police said an investigation into the accident is ongoing, and did not report any arrests or charges related to the crash.
