Man Fled Nassau Officers In Stolen Car: Police

Police say the officers tried to stop him when they saw he was driving a stolen car.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A man was arrested in Massapequa Thursday morning after he was found driving a stolen car, police said.

According to police, officers found a stolen car near Villa Drive and Merrick Road in Massapequa at 10:45 a.m. Police say the driver pulled away from the area in an aggressive matter. The officers were able to stop the car after seeing it make multiple traffic violations, police said.

The driver, Brandon Jackson, 32, was arrested without incident. No one was injured.

Jackson is charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
