Man Sees His Dodge Challenger Being Pushed Out Of Driveway, Pursues Thieves In Pickup: PD

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY — Nassau County police are searching for whoever stole a vehicle right out of a homeowner's driveway.

According to police, a Pacific Street resident saw his 2019 Dodge Challenger being pushed out of his driveway on a home surveillance system and reported the vehicle stolen — before pursuing the stolen vehicle in his pickup truck.

The man located the Challenger and several people now suspected of stealing it nearby, police said. The homewoner crashed into a BMW being operated by the suspected vehicle thieves, who were able to flee the scene, police said.

The Challenger was recovered, police said, and an investigation is now ongoing.
