Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Our staff offers a wide range of social and employment services, including: • Development of a personalized self-sufficiency plan • Case management and referrals • Employment services, job search skills, and work experience opportunities • Outreach and community support • Social and cultural adjustment assistance • English language support • Help with school, benefits, and local resource navigation • Transitional services and employment retention support We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY — A Freeport man was arrested early Sunday morning after Nassau County police say he was driving drunk with five people in his car.According to police, officers on patrol saw a 2006 Lexus driving west on Sunrise Highway at 1:45 a.m. with a defective headlinght.The officer pulled the car over near the intersection of Manhattan Avenue. Police say the driver, Alexander Umanzor, 37, of Freeport, was driving while drunk. He was arrested without incident. There were four passengers in the car: a 51-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman, a 14-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. The children were released into the care of a relative.Umanzor is charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra's Law), two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and multiple vehicle and traffic violations. He was arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.
