Grand Larceny
On July 28, a wallet was stolen from a gym locker at the Xtreme Gym in Massapequa, police said. The theft occurred at 11:45 a.m. The locker was was locked and was damaged by the theft.
Vehicle Larceny
On July 24, a vehelicle was broken into on Pittsburgh Avenue in Massapequa, police said. The victim heard her car alarm go off at 3:30 a.m. She discovered her vehicle had been rummaged through and a laptop, sunglasses and a GPS were taken, police said.
On July 24, a car on Ontario Avenue was broken into and cash was stolen. The theft occured between 5 p.m. the dy before and 11:45 a.m.
On July 26, cash was stolen from a vehicle parked on Hamilton Avenue, Police said. THe theft took place between 4 p.m. and 4: 30 p.m.
On July 28, the owner of a vehicle parked on New Hampshire Avenue discovered that a thief broke into it and stole an iPod and a wallet. The theft took place between 11 p.m. the night before and 8 a.m.
On July 28, someone broke a window of a vehicle parked on Merrick Road and stole a briefcase, laptop and other electronic equipment. The theft was discovered at 1 a.m. THe car had been parked there for two hours.
Bike Thefts
On July 28, bikes were stolen from the porch of a home on Lagoon Boulevard, police said. The thefts occurred between 11 p.m.and 10:15 p.m.
On July 29 a man left his bike at the Massapequa Park LIRR station. It was gone when he returned. The theft occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
