Massapequa Crime Report: Larcenies

Dec. 3 to Dec. 10

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Grand Larceny

On Dec. 4, a backpack containing keys, a debit card and a cell phone was stolen from a basketball court at XSport Fitness at the Sunrise Mall, police said. The theft took place between 11:20 p.m. and midnight.

On Dec. 7, a pocketbook was stolen from a fitting room at the Sunrise Mall, cops said. The theft occurred at 6 p.m.

Larceny from Vehicle

On Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, two vehicles were rummaged through on Charles Avenue between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

On Dec. 6,  a thief broke the door of a car parked at the Massapequa Diner on Sunrise Highway and stole a pocketbook.

DWI

On a 21-year-old Baldwin man was arrested at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and  Old Sunrise Highway and charged with DWI.
