Grand Larceny
On August 24th, a thief stole a purse from a shopping cart at the Burlington Coat Factory on Sunrise Highway, police said. The theft took place sometime between 3:25 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Theft from Vehicle
On August 20, a vandal stole the glass from a side view mirror of a vehicle parked in the Sears lot at the Sunrise Mall, police said. The theft took place sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Petty Larceny
On Aug. 22, a Freeport woman was arrested for shoplifting at Macy's at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
On Aug. 24, a Massapequa woman was arrested at the CVS Pharmacy at 20 Broadway in Massapequa and charged with petty Larceny.
Vehicle Arrest
On Aug. 26, a Freeport man was arrested at the Massapequa Park LIRR station and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and four violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, cops said.
