Petty Larceny
On Oct. 17, a bike was stolen from the Carmans Road BOCES school, police said. The theft occurred between noon and 3 p.m.
On Oct. 15, two people scammed a cashier at the Waldbaums on Hicksville Road in North Massapequa, police said. At 7:40 p.m. man and a woman convinced a cashier to remove the cash drawer from a register. While the man distracted the cashier, the woman reached into the draw and took, $500. The male suspect is described as being about 30-years-old with dark hair and eyes. He's 5-foot-6 with a thin build. The female suspect is described as being about 60-years-old with silver and black hair and Wrinkled face. A similar crime took place earlier at the Pathmark on Merrick Road in Seaford, and similar crimes have been taking place throughout Long Island, police said.
Grand Larceny
On Oct. 17, a Massapequa resident was bilked out of $1,790 by somebody he met on Craigslist, police said.
DWI
On Oct. 20, a West Sayville woman was arrested on Unqua Road and charged with DWI.
