Larcenies From Vehicles
On Sept. 3, a thief stole all four tires and rims from a vehicle parked in the Macy's lot at the Sunrise Mall, police said. The thefts occured betweem 7;15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
On Sept. 5, a car owner discovered his vehicle had ben broken into on Grover Avenue West, police said. The car was unlocked and the thefts took place between 4:30 p.m. the night before and 9 a.m.
On Aug. 31 neighbors stopped a man who was taking prperty from a home on East Shore Drive and loading it into a red minivan, police said.
On Sept. 7, someone broke the passenger side window of a car parked on Sunrise Highway and stole property between 7 p.m. and 7:50 p.m., police said.
On Sept. 7 a thief broke the passenger side window of a car parked on the lot outside the Burlington Coat Factory and tok property inside, police said. The thefts took place between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
On Sept. 7 a car window was broken at Wallmart at the Sunrise Mall, and property was stolen, police said. The theft occurred between 6:10 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.
On Sept. 8 a car that was parked on Fairfield Avenue was broken into and a rearview mirror was damaged. The incident occurred at 12:15 a.m.
Petty Larceny
On Sept. 2, a cell phone was reported missing at XSport Fitness in Massapequa, police said.
On Sept. 7 a cell phone was stolen from a drawer at the Staples on Sunrise Highway, police said.
Vehicle Arrest
On Sept. 5, a South Ozone Park man was arrested ath the intersection of Park Lane and Roger Lane and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
