Massapequa Man Arrested In NYC Man's Death
Police say the two got into a knife fight, which culminated with one man being stabbed to death.
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A Massapequa man was arrested Tuesday evening after police say a man he stabbed during an argument in late January died from his wounds.
According to New York City police, around 8:40 p.m. on Jan. 27, two men got into an argument in front of a 7-Eleven on Queens Boulevard in Forrest Hills. Both men pulled out knives, police said, but only one man was injured.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found 30-year-old Gerard Morena with a stab wound in his chest. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he died from his injuries on Feb. 4.

On Feb. 7, New York City police arrested 27-year-old Nicholas Loiacono, of Massapequa, in connection with the assault. He was charged with menacing and attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
