The Massapequa School District has a new lunch director. Paul Heckelman, a 25-year veteran of the food service industry has been named to the position, and will be responsible for overseeing the district's lunch program and staff. Heckelman is a graduate of  the Culinary Institute of America was the executive chef/assistant food service director for a nursing facility where he organized catering and special events. He has also worked for  the Plaza Hotel in New York, the Marriot Hotel on Long Island and the Brookville Country Club in Glen Head.
