Massapequa Week in Review

Aug 31 to sept 6.

For a lot of people, this past week was only half a week, as it began with Labor Day and ended with Rosh Hashanah. It also included a scary incident at a school.

Here's a look back:

Police responded to Plainedge Middle School Wednesday for report of a missing student. The child, who was severely autistic according to his dad, was found outside the building but appeared to be safe.

There was an arrest Thursday in connection with a strange January incident in which police say a man assaulted a former co-worker with a fire extinguisher.

Rosh Hashanah began Wednesday evening and Nassau County officials announced increased security.

Finally, all of the news in Massapequa came at a tense time internationally as the US debated possible military action in Syria. We asked how Rep. Peter King should vote.
