Massapequa Week in Review

A look back at the week's top stories.

We saw a government shutdown and the possible downfall of a famous lawyer this week.

Here's a look back:

Celebrity lawyer Dominic Barbara, who represented Massapequa residents Joey Buttafuoco and Jessica Hahn, was arrested for allegedly choking his ex-girlfriend.

A veteran social studies teacher and longtime Massapequa resident has taken over as Dean of Students at Berner Middle School.

It's been another successful Fall season in Massapequa as the girls volleyball team ran their record to 6-0.

The Government shut down early Tuesday, with Rep. Peter King, being one of five Republicans to vote against a final hour spending measure.

Among the places affected by the shutdown were the grounds of Theodore Roosevelt's home at Sagamore Hill.
