It was indeed a scorcher of a week as temperatures soared into the 90s virtually every day, many events were cancelled while pools and beaches extended hours.
Perhaps the most shocking of the law enforcement related stories that came down this week was the arrest of a Massapequa couple accused of running a high end international prostitution ring.
While the prostitution arrest was shocking Another incident, the gunpoint robbery of two teens in North Massapequa was frightening.
Also in North Massapequa, a man was arrested in connection with an alleged bat and knife attack.
Finally, a judge ruled that the future of a proposed Town of Oyster Bay land sale, that many observers feel is related to a long running dispute over a proposed mall, will be decided by voters.
