Nassau Woman Drunken Crashes With 3 Young Children in Car: Police
Toni-Ann Appice faces charges that include aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

WESTBURY, NY — A Massapequa woman was arrested and charged with Leandra's Law for drunken crash with her three young children in the car, police said.
Police responded to an accident on Jericho Turnpike in Westbury just before 6 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
Toni-Ann Appice, 31, had been driving the vehicle and was showing signs of intoxication, authorities said.

She had her six-year-old daughter, four-year-old son and three-year-old son in the car, police said.
There were no injuries reported.

Appice was arrested without incident and the children released to a relative, police said.
A bottle containing 12 Alprazolam pills was recovered from Appice, police said.
She is charged with three counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of driving while intoxicated and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Appice was scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
