MASSAPEQUA, NY. — Nassau County police reported that a road closure on Merrick Road had been cleared Wednesday just after 10:30 a.m., resolving a two-way stop between the intersections with Dover Road and Polo Road. In an announcement just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, police said the closure was due to an auto accident.
