Nassau Teen Seriously Injured After Diving Into Backyard Pool
The teen, who police did not name, was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
MASSAPEQUA, NY – A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured after he dove into a backyard pool in Massapequa Tuesday afternoon.
According to Nassau Police, Seventh Precinct officers responded to a Hamilton Avenue home around 4 p.m. after a report a teen striking his head on the bottom of a pool.
When police arrived, the teen was lying by the side of the pool after his friends pulled him out. The teen was responsive, but unable to move his body. He suffered serious injuries to his neck, back and head.
