With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. MASSAPEQUA, NY — A fire took place early Friday at a Massapequa home, police said. The Massapequa Fire Department responded to the home on McKinley Place at 3:48 a.m. The upper level of the home was fully engulfed in flames, police said. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad also arrived. The Red Cross was notified to offer assistance to the displaced residents, police said. No one was injured. An investigation is ongoing, but the fire is not considered suspicious at this time, authorities said.
