OYSTER BAY TOWN, NY — To help residents beat the heat as high temperatures and humidity roll in this week, the Town of Oyster Bay announced that it will extend the hours of operations at all town pulls and TOBAY Beach. The town will also be opening three cooling centers.

Starting Tuesday, hours will be extended through Sunday, July 24. The cooling centers will be open every day through Sunday to give residents an indoor location to cool off.

"We want to help you beat the heat! With the forecast calling for extreme oppressive heat, we invite our residents to enjoy some fun family time and make the town pool facilities their backyards away from home," said Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino. "Our town pools and beaches are a staycation destination for residents of all ages and that especially holds true during high temperatures like those estimated for this coming week."
