Oyster Bay Town Holding 9/11 Ceremony On Sept. 9
The town will honor those who died in the terrorist attack 20 years ago, as well as those who have since died from 9/11-related illnesses.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay will be holding a remembrance ceremony for the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at TOBAY Beach in Massapequa.
The tribute will light up the sky in memory of those lost that day. The town will also unveil new names inscribed on its Walls of Honor — those who have recently died from illnesses caused by exposure to elements at Ground Zero.
The ceremony will include bagpipe music, religious readings and remarks from family members of the victims.
