However now I am more than annoyed, irritated or weary of Cancel Culture. That is because (in my humble opinion) it has gone beyond it’s timeline of sensationalism.

I would like to politely alert the editor that it is just that, “AN ACCUSATION.” .
At the moment it is currently unproven or validated. Still it will undoubtedly affect the careers not only of the accused, but the cast of the new and yes, long anticipated series that has just hit the airwaves.
Where has the woman in question been for twenty plus years? I don’t know if her version is accurate, fictional or cash motivated, and frankly I don’t care.
The voice of an opera legend was stilled earlier this year by long dormant accusations, as well as the careers of numerous other talented figures. We read the accusations, but I haven’t seen, heard or read their defenses.
I cannot comprehend the temporary amnesia that seemingly has been a source of contagion for so many suddenly vocal and strident voices.
And they all seem to know exactly when and who to tell about long quiescent abuse memories.
If the incident (real, imagined or possibly wishful thinking) truly occurred, why was it submerged for decades?
Has the fictional account suddenly mushroomed into actuality?
America is ridden with fears (Covid, mandates, inflation, weather) we don’t need cancel culture to destroy more reputations before verification.
And perhaps both the myriad accusations and accusers should be investigated and proven before they become lurid. headlines.
