School District Holds Anti-Drug and Alcohol Assembly for Parents

Massapequa parents to hear story of alcohol-related self destruction.

Parents in the Massapequa school district are being invited an anti-drug and alcohol program next week.

They will hear from Aaron Cooksey, whose story of self-destruction and recovery is designed to give parents the opportunity discuss alcohol, drugs and making good choices with their children.

Cooksey, is an Ohio man who served four years in prison for an alcohol-related crash that killed his best friend.

After his release, he's traveled around the country telling his story in an effort to prevent others from making the same bad choices.

The assembly will be at Massapequa HIgh School on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.

All parents from K-12 are invited.
