'She Is Always Very Humble And Kind': Massapequa Star Student Athlete
We all know athletes who shine whether they're competing or not. Let's help share these amazing stories!

MASSAPEQUA, NY — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.
This submission comes from Juliana Domingo who nominated her friend Natalie, of Massapequa.
What sport does the star student athlete play?
Soccer, Lacrosse, and Basketball
Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?
She is an amazing person. She sets a great example for others on and off the field. Natalie is so industrious between sports and school. She is always one of the first to volunteer to help others.
She participates in many charities, such as creating her own club (called Cupcake Cuties, where together with a few friends she baked and sold cupcakes to raise money for various charities). Natalie has participated in Shootout for Soldiers (supporting veterans) and the Polar Bear Plunge (benefits Make-A-Wish) many times.
Natalie is one of the girls on the team that never gives up. She does so much for our team and doesn’t usually get adulated as much as she should. Furthermore, she was featured in a program named “LI Lax Journal” with the best players from Long Island.
Natalie is an honor roll student and has also been Vice President for her class (2027) at Berner Middle School. She is an outstanding asset to our community, school and teams!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?
She is always very humble and kind.
Keep up the great work, Natalie!
