Theater Returns To Berner Middle School With 'Descendants'
The staging of the Disney musical will be the school's first performance in two years.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Berner Middle School’s Theatre Box Players will stage their first show in two years with the upcoming production of “Descendants.” The musical is based upon the 2015 Disney fantasy-adventure comedy film.
The lead actors are Ioanna Livanis as Mal, Jett Cardona as Jay, Joey Muchnick as Carlos, Juliana Ansaldi as Evie and Andrew McKeever as Ben. There is a total cast of 65 sixth, seventh and eighth graders.
Popular songs from the show include “Rotten to the Core,” “Ways to be Wicked” and “Evil Like Me.” The musical is directed by Katie Tauches with support from vocal director Christina Guando, choreographer Danielle Coutieri and production assistant Andrea Gropf.

Show times are Friday, Nov. 19 and Saturday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Berner Middle School auditorium. Tickets are $10 each. There will also be a free livestream of Friday’s performance.
