Woman In Critical Condition After Long Island Hit-And-Run

The woman was hit by a dark-colored pickup truck, which fled the scene. Police ask anyone with information to come forward.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Massapequa Monday afternoon, and Nassau police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to police, a 72-year-old woman was hit by a dark-colored, late-model Ford pick-up truck at the intersection of Front Street and Park Lane in Massapequa at 1:23 p.m. on Nov. 15. The truck fled the scene.

Police say the woman suffered severe trauma and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is in critical condition.
