Medford, NY – Cub Scout Pack 47 showed what community service is all about by volunteering at Eagle Elementary School’s Paint Night. The scouts were on hand to help with important tasks throughout the event, inspiring other students to step up and pitch in as well.

The scouts worked hard behind the scenes to keep the event running smoothly. They changed out water cups, refilled paint supplies, and cleaned up dirty paper towels to ensure everyone had a fun, mess-free experience. Their willingness to jump in and help impressed both organizers and attendees.

“Pack 47 really made a difference tonight,” said one event organizer. “Their teamwork and positive attitude encouraged others to get involved too. They set a great example for the younger kids.”

As the evening progressed, more students were inspired by the scouts' efforts and started helping out by gathering supplies and tidying up their tables. The spirit of teamwork and service spread across the room, making the event even more memorable.

For Pack 47, the experience was another opportunity to live out the values of scouting—leadership, responsibility, and giving back to the community.

“We’re proud of the scouts for stepping up and serving as role models,” said a Pack 47 leader. “They learned how small actions, like refilling paint or keeping things clean, can have a big impact.”

Pack 47 continues to seek out opportunities to serve and make a positive difference in the community. For more information about upcoming events or how to join Pack 47, contact Chris Bernichon at pack47patmed@gmail.com.
