Man Seriously Injured In Crash On Long Island Expressway
He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital Medical Center for treatment, Suffolk police said.
MEDFORD, NY — A man was seriously injured in a two-car crash on the Long Island Expressway on Wednesday night, Suffolk County police said.
Police said that at about 11:30 p.m., a man driving a Kia rear-ended a Toyota that was driven by a woman, near Exit 65 in Medford. The man was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of "serious injuries," police said. The woman was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries, according to police.
Police did not release the name of either driver.

Westbound lanes in the area were closed until nearly 6 a.m. as police investigated the scene, News 12 reported.
The investigation is continuing, police said. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the 6th Squad at (631)854-8652.
