Patchogue Elk Flips Burgers Into Vet Donation

Check for $2,000 donated to The Suffolk County United Veterans Project, Inc.

James Vuturo of the Patchogue Elks recently donated $2,000 to Suffolk County United Veterans Inc. raised by flipping burgers for Friday Night Burgers at the Patchogue Elks Lodge 1323.

According to a release from the Patchogue Elks, Vuturo would take a day off from his Vuturo Contracting business once a month for the burger nights, with his wife Leslie and daughter Jillian volunteering as waitresses.

At the recently held final Burger Night on April 26, Vuturo presented the check to Joanne Massimo, program director of Suffolk County United Veterans Inc. According to the release, that organization helps veterans regain entry into society, attain residential stability, self-sufficiency and economic independence.
