Police: E. Patchogue Teens With Others Assault Man At ATM

Five suspects allegedly stole victim's wallet, police said.

A 22-year-old Bellport man was assaulted by two East Patchogue teens and three other males who stole his wallet at a Bellport ATM, Suffolk County Police said in a Saturday announcement.

According to police, the unidentified victim was exiting the Chase Bank at 32 Station Road at around 2:45 a.m. Thursday after making a withdrawal from the ATM, when he was approached by five males who assaulted him and stole his wallet.

Police officers James Lennon and David Henderson responded and soon after located two of the suspects, James Hollman, 18 of E. Patchogue, and Dequan Holly, 18 of Bellport. Police say after further investigation that Talshawne Gamble, 18 of E. Patchogue, Anthony Lafranca, 18 of Bellport, and a 16-year-old from Bellport were also involved.

All five suspects were charged with robbery in the second degree and arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip.
