Car Crashes Into Merrick Avenue Middle School

NORTH MERRICK, NY – A car slammed into Merrick Avenue Middle School Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. North Merrick firefighters responded to the scene to free the driver who became trapped in the vehicle after the crash.
The 32-year old driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, ABC 7 reported. No one else was injured. It's unclear what caused the crash.
