Crime Report: Man Arrested at School, Merrick Man Accused of Fraud
The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department; it does not indicate a conviction.

- A hitch and lug nut covers were removed from a car parked on Shore Drive sometime around Oct. 1 and Oct. 2.
- Sometime between Oct. 1 and 2, lug nut covers were removed from a car parked on Lindenmere Drive.
- A homeless man from Hempstead was arrested on Oct. 2 at Grand Avenue Middle School, after he robbed and stabbed a man in Freeport.
- On Oct. 3, a suspect stole money from the cash register of Sherwin Williams Paints on Sunrise Highway.
- On Oct. 5, a briefcase and personal papers were stolen from a vehicle parked on Bayview Avenue.
- The jury in the trial of Michael Costanza, a Merrick resident and Long Island Rail Road retiree who was accused of disability fraud began deliberations on Oct. 8.Â
