Girl Scouts of Nassau County CFO Named CFO of the Year

Long Island Business News awards Merrick woman with top honor.

Deborah Goldsmith, Chief Financial Officer of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc., was recently recognized in Long Island Business News’ CFO of the Year Awards program at a Gala on Thursday, Sept. 20 at The Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

“I am so honored to have received this award for my work at the Girl Scouts of Nassau County,” said Deborah Goldsmith. “Girl Scouts is in the leadership business, and we are the nation’s leader in teaching girls about financial literacy. As COO and CFO, I have the opportunity to put my financial expertise and business acumen to work for an organization that supports girls…the future leaders of our community.”

Long Island Business News created the CFO of the Year Awards to recognize the performance, contributions and accomplishments of the financial professionals guiding Long Island’s companies and organizations. A committee of business leaders selected awardees, based on the nominees’ career and professional accomplishments.
