MERRICK, NY — A jet skier had to be rescued on Wednesday afternoon in Merrick, police said.

A jet skier was stranded on a marsh just after noon near False Channel, police said.

The victim, a 60-year-old woman, suffered severe dehydration after being stuck in sun for several hours, police said.
