1. A 22-year-old Long Island man is facing assault charges after he injured five officers while resisting arrest. On Saturday, on Bowling Green Drive in Westbury, officers attempted to arrest Cristhofer Peralta Liriano, of Westbury, who fought the officers. (Daily Voice)
2. The Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) honored Senator John E. Brooks with the 2021 FASNY Golden Trumpet Award for his exceptional support for and assistance to the volunteer fire service. Senator Brooks represents the 8th Senate District. (LongIsland.com)
3. News 12 reports that a Hempstead man is accused of displaying a loaded gun in Uniondale Saturday afternoon at Nassau Road and Argyle Avenue. 19-year-old Shaolin James Bell was charged with criminal weapons charges. (News 12)
