MERRICK, NY — State Senator Steve Rhoads has secured another term in Albany, according to results from the state Board of Elections.

With all Election District reporting, Republican Rhoads had a 39,000-vote (58 percent) victory against Lisa Lin (36 percent) in the 5th District.

Rhoads was elected in 2022 when he defeated the incumbent John Brooks.
