Police: Oceanside Woman Stole $220K from Employer
The woman took business checks from her East Rockaway employer and made them payable to herself, cops said.

An Oceanside woman was charged Monday after stealing business checks worth more than $200,000 from her employer, according to Nassau County Police.
Between January 6, 2014 and May 21, Donna Romero-Flores, 54, took more than 100 checks from a private electrical business in East Rockaway where she worked, officials said.

Romero-Flores took the checks from her employer’s business ledger and made them payable to herself, police said.

Cops said the thefts totaled more than $220,000.
Romero-Flores was charged with second-degree grand larceny and will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
