A 34-year-old Roosevelt man was arrested for his role in an assault at the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road Station that led to the death of a 49-year-old Freeport man, Long Island Rail Road officials said.
The suspect, Niheim Levy of Roosevelt is being charged with felony murder and first-degree robbery for his role in the incident.
The initial call to police at 4:50 a.m. on Saturday reported that a man had fallen from the station platform onto the tracks after he had a seizure.
It was learned through an investigation that a verbal dispute turned into a physical altercation at the station.
The Nassau County and MTA Police departments are still investigating the incident.
