Shipments of Sweet Treats

Levy Lakeside School asked students to donate their extra Halloween candy to the school's Operation Sweet Tooth drive.

The student council at Levy Lakeside School in the Merrick School District recently asked students to donate their extra Halloween candy to the school’s Operation Sweet Tooth drive. Operation Sweet Tooth is a nonprofit local organization that sends candy to United States troops.

In collaboration with Merrick Avenue Middle School’s student council, hundreds of pounds of candy were collected and dropped off at a local dentist's office that ships all donations overseas to the U.S. servicemen and women who are defending the nation’s freedoms. The donations of varied candies and treats filled 24 large boxes.
