$150K Worth Of Powerball Tickets Sold In Hudson Valley

One of the ticket buyers chose the Powerplay option which, in this case, doubled the prize.

NEWBURGH, NY — A Hudson Valley shop sold a couple of third-prize-winning Powerball tickets worth a total of $150,000.

New York Lottery officials said that Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh, sold the two tickets for the March 16 Powerball drawing.

One of the tickets, worth $100,000, was purchased for the March 16 Powerball drawing. The winning ticket holder chose the Power Play option which, in this case, doubled the third prize from $50,000 to $100,000.

The person who bought the third-prize-winning ticket correctly chose four numbers plus the Powerball and selected the Power Play option.

The other winning third-prize ticket purchased at Smokes 4 Less is worth $50,000. It too had four correctly chosen numbers plus the Powerball.

Another third-prize-winning ticket, also worth $50,000, was purchased at 7-Eleven #11148E, located at 3125 Lawson Boulevard in Oceanside, Nassau County.

The winning numbers for the March 16 Powerball drawing are 12-23-44-57-61, with a Powerball of 5.

Winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Powerball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
