2 Found Dead Inside Poughkeepsie Home: PD
An investigation into the deaths is underway, according to police.
TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Two adults were found dead inside a residence on Homer Place on Wednesday, according to police.
The individuals include one man and one woman, according to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department.
Police had received a request to conduct a welfare check Wednesday on the residents at 21 Homer Place.

Officers arrived and saw the two people inside the home, on the floor of the foyer, and both appeared to be injured, police said in a press release issued Thursday.
All entrances to the home were locked. Officers gained entry and found the two individuals were deceased. Police have not yet released their identities.

Police conducted a search of the home and determined the two people were the only occupants, police said.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the cause and manner of death.
