2 Accused Of Selling Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine In Poughkeepsie
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force it's been actively investigating complaints of drug dealers in parts of Poughkeepsie.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Two people in the city of Poughkeepsie were arrested after being accused of selling fentanyl and crack cocaine.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force said Friday Jon M. Lowe, 36, and Sarah Thomas-Marron, 31, both of the city of Poughkeepsie, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with intent to sell, a felony.
Both Lowe and Thomas-Marron were arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Justice Court. Lowe was sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail; Thomas-Marron was released to the supervision of probation.

The drug task force said it’s been actively investigating complaints of drug dealers in the area of N. Clinton and Maple streets in Poughkeepsie, as well as several recent overdose deaths occurring within the area.
After an investigation into drug sales in this area, a search warrant was obtained for an apartment at 400 Maple St.

It was executed Thursday by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit, K-9 Unit and the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.
As a result of the ongoing investigation and executed search warrant, both Lowe and Thomas-Marron were taken into custody at the scene without incident, authorities said.
The drug task force said it is aggressively investigating drug dealers who sell dangerous drugs including fentanyl, which has been responsible for hundreds of overdose deaths in Dutchess County. It has also been found mixed with other drugs like crack cocaine and heroin.
The city and town of Poughkeepsie lead the county in overdose deaths, however, the deaths are not all Poughkeepsie residents, officials said.
Investigations conducted by the drug task force indicate many vulnerable community members suffering from addiction travel to this area to purchase narcotics and dangerous drugs from all over Dutchess County including residents from the towns of East Fishkill, Hyde Park, Lagrange and Pleasant Valley and the city of Beacon, as well as many other communities.
