2 Kids In Vehicle As Driver Arrested On Felony DWI Charge On Route 22: NYSP
The Pawling man was found to have a BAC of 0.10 percent, after being arrested in the town of Dover, according to New York State troopers.

DOVER, NY — A Dutchess County man was arrested for potentially putting the lives of two children at risk, according to state police.
New York State Police say that on Monday, around 12:01 a.m., troopers from Dover stopped a vehicle driving south on State Route 22, in the Town of Dover, for traffic violations.
While speaking with the driver, 28-year-old Jose D. Melara Melara, of Pawling, troopers noticed signs of intoxication, according to police.

State police say that two children, a two-year-old and a nine-year-old, were also in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Melara was arrested and taken for processing, where his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was found to be 0.10 percent, police said.

State police said the children were turned over to a sober party.
Melara was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger less than 16; misdemeanor driving while intoxicated; and several vehicle/traffic violations.
He was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dover Court on December 11.
