2 Pedestrians Killed In Crosswalk At New Lebanon Valley Speedway
Two Massachusetts residents were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
NEW LEBANON, NY — Two pedestrians were killed when they were struck Saturday by a car in a crosswalk.
The New York State Police said, around 8:20 a.m. Saturday, troopers were sent to a crosswalk near the New Lebanon Valley Speedway in Columbia County located on U.S. Highway 20.
An investigation determined that a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by Erica C. FLorin, 36, of Lee, Massachusetts, was heading east on U.S. 20 when she struck two pedestrians who were in the crosswalk.

Troopers and responding emergency medical service personnel tried lifesaving measures, but both people were pronounced dead at the scene.
They were identified as Gary J. Sheldon, 74, and Patricia Peck, 77, both of Clarksburg, Massachusetts.
