2 Pedestrians Killed In Sullivan County When Struck By Car

CALLICOON, NY — Two pedestrians were struck and killed by a car in Sullivan County.

The New York State Police said, around 3 a.m. Monday, troopers from the Liberty barracks were sent to a car-pedestrian crash at 1524 Gulf Rd. in the town of Callicoon.

An investigation found that Alyssa Diaz, 24, of Roscoe, was driving a 2012 Honda when she struck two pedestrians who were walking along the roadway, police said.

William Hardenberg, 22, and a 14-year-old girl were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Diaz stayed at the scene and called 911.

Authorities said this is an ongoing investigation.
