2 Teens Accused Of Breaking Into, Robbing Gas Station
State police used a bloodhound to find the pair.

GREENPORT, NY — Two teenagers were arrested Friday after being accused of breaking into and robbing a gas station in the town of Greenport.
The New York State Police said troopers arrested a 16- and a 17-year-old and charged them with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies.
Police said, around 5:30 a.m. Friday, troopers were sent to the Mobil on the Go on Fairview Avenue in Greenport for a report of a break-in.

The suspects had fled prior to the police arriving, officials said.
Investigators of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, with the assistance of the Troop K bloodhound team, located the two teens nearby.

Both were turned over to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office for additional ongoing criminal investigations.
