He used Uber to pick her up at her home at midnight, bring her to his home, and drop her off the next morning at her elementary school.
SUFFERN, NY — An online predator who sexually abused a child he met through an online game will go to prison.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced that 20-year-old Willmer Loja Aroca, of Suffern, was sentenced to 14 years in state prison on Tuesday for raping an 11-year-old girl. Aroca pleaded guilty to first-degree rape and will be required to register as a sex offender due to his conviction.
Prosecutors say that Aroca initially met the victim through Fortnite, an online video game, and continued communicating with the child through Snapchat.

On Jan. 14, of last year, around midnight, Aroca ordered an Uber for the victim which took her to his home. About a half-hour later, the girl's mother contacted the Spring Valley Police Department to report that her daughter was missing, which led to an active search to locate the child.
Prosecutors say that at Aroca's house, he and the victim played Fortnite before he engaged in several acts of sexual conduct, including oral, anal and vaginal sex.

Around 9 a.m., the following morning, Aroca ordered an Uber which then dropped him off at Suffern High School, and then dropped the victim off near her elementary school.
The victim then contacted her mother who picked her up and took her to the Spring Valley Police Department.
"The defendant preyed on a vulnerable child and his reprehensible actions resulted in a lengthy prison sentence," Walsh said. "He was held accountable and the victim was spared from having to testify in open court and relive the deeply traumatic experiences. We commend the courage of this child and her mother for coming forward."
