28-Year-Old Dutchess Man Charged With Sexually Abusing Children: NYSP

Investigators say they found evidence that he had sexually abused multiple children over the course of several years.

HYDE PARK, NY — New York State Police say a serial sex abuser has been arrested.

The New York State Police said that on Wednesday, troopers from Poughkeepsie arrested 28-year-old Tyler G. Leclerc, of Hyde Park, for felony third degree criminal sexual act, and two counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

On January 31, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assigned to SP Poughkeepsie received a report about the sexual abuse of a child. The investigation found evidence that Leclerc had sexually abused multiple children over the course of several years.

He was arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $200,000 cash / $400,000 bond / $2,000,000 partially secured bond.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation worked along with the Troop K-Computer Crimes Unit, the Troop K-Forensic Investigation Unit, the Troop K-Community Stabilization Unit and the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center.
