3 Hurt, Driver Ticketed In Crash With Police Patrol Car
The weekend collision took place while the Fishkill Police Department car had its lights and sirens activated, according to the NYSP.
FISHKILL, NY — On Sunday, around 3:45 p.m., state police were called to Route 52 in the town of Fishkill for a report of a two-car crash involving a Fishkill Police Department patrol vehicle.
A preliminary investigation by the New York State Police found that a Fishkill Police Department patrol vehicle was traveling west on Route 52 with lights and sirens activated when the crash took place.
Troopers say a car driven by 20-year-old Askya R. Paulin, of Beacon, along with one passenger, was also traveling west, and was overtaking the other vehicles that were yielding to the lights and sirens.
