3 Suspects Nabbed After Police Arrived Mid-Burglary, According To Authorities
Kingston police officers had been conducting a premise check on Emerson Street, when they interrupted a burglary in progress, officials say.
KINGSTON, NY — Three burglary suspects were caught red-handed in Ulster County, according to police.
Kingston police officers, on patrol, had been conducting a premise check at Emerson Street on Thursday, when they interrupted a burglary in progress, according to the department.
After the suspects attemped to flee, two of them, 32-year-old Zachary T. Wagner, of Kingston, and 30-year-old Jade Terwillegar, of Port Ewen, were soon apprehended, cops said.

A third suspect, 39-year-old Christopher Escobar, of Rhinebeck, was found in a nearby vehicle.
All three were arrested, charged, processed, and held for arraignment.

Escobar was charged with two felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony second-degree burglary, misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Wagner was charged with felony second-degree burglary, felony tampering with physical evidence, misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration.
Terwillegar was charged with felony second-degree burglary, and misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration.
After arraignment in Kingston City Court on Friday, Wagner and Terwillegar were remanded to the Ulster County Jail on bail. Escobar was released on his own recognizance.
As this investigation is ongoing, police say additional charges are anticipated.
